Marco Lo Muscio\u00a0was born in Rome on October 23 1971 and is regarded as one of the most versatile musicians of his generation: organist, pianist, composer.\u00a0Marco is the first musician who has brought transcriptions of ‘progressive music’ into the concert halls and cathedrals, thrilling audiences with music by composers like Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman and Steve Hackett (Genesis) in this acoustic way. Marco’s compositions are similarly ‘progressive’ in their own way.<\/p>\n

He has given more than\u00a0700 concerts\u00a0as part of organ and piano festivals around the world and his performances\u00a0\u00a0have been broadcast in radio and television including BBC TV and Radio.<\/p>\n

John and Marco have\u00a0performed regularly together since 2009 in the UK and Europe. John wrote and recorded Thoughts turn Homeward<\/em> for\u00a0Marco’s album\u00a0The Book of Bilbo and Gandalf<\/strong> and\u00a0Marco wrote the solo flute composition\u00a0Bilbo’s Dream<\/em> for John.<\/p>\n

Playing the History<\/h3>\n

\"<\/a>In 2012 they were joined by bass player Carlo Mateucci and out of this collaboration was born the idea of recording acoustic versions of classic progressive rock tunes. In 2013 the CD\u00a0Playing the History<\/strong> was released\u00a0 which also featured guest artists Steve Hackett, David Jackson and Giorgio Gabriel.<\/p>\n

For the launch concert in Italy, the trio were joined by David and Giorgio and in 2016\u00a0drummer Pino Magliani completed the live line up.<\/p>\n

A second album\u00a0Prog\u00a0Alchymia<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0was released at the end of 2017, with additional guest artists Steve Hackett, Nick Fletcher, Duncan Parsons,\u00a0Alessandro Forti and\u00a0Giovanni Viaggi.<\/p>\n
