Prog at the Priory

It was 2016 the last time my friend from Rome, pianist/organist Marco Lo Muscio and I played in the wonderful setting of Lancaster Priory. Lovely to be back for Prog at the Priory on Saturday, playing to a sell-out crowd, this time with my dear brother Steve Hackett as special guest. The trip was made complete by a visit to the workshop of Bob Deegan, one of the few remaining harpsichord makers in the country, where Marco delighted us with a performance of Pavan for the Earl of Salisbury by William Byrd which I had first heard on an album by John Renbourn. Huge thanks to our wonderful host, Stuart Marshall who along with Paul, Glenn on sound, Steph and all the staff at the Priory made us feel so welcome. And special thanks to Steve and Jo ( with their glamorous assistant, Vince) for joining us during their busy schedule.Next stop for me is this coming Sunday at the The 1865 Southampton where the John Hackett Band are joined by the wonderful The Blackheart Orchestra. We hope to see you there.
