Rocking Horse Music Club

Back from a fantastic weekend at Trading Boundaries LIVE with the Rocking Horse Music Club performing their rock opera Circus Of Wire Dolls (narrated with suitable gravitas by Richard Macphail) plus the music of Anthony Phillips and Mike Rutherford . It meant a great deal to me on Friday evening to play Anthony Phillips’ gorgeous Sleepfall as it was the invitation from Ant and Mike to play on the Geese And The Ghost that came at a turning point in my life when I decided to try and be a professional musician. Not only did I get to guest with the amazing musicians of the Rocking Horse Music Club, on Saturday afternoon I joined Ms Amy Birks and other Beatrix Players before Matt Lumb and I played a duo set. This gave me the chance to try out Moonchild on my beloved alto flute. We also included two other pieces I’ve played before in Italy with Marco Lo Muscio – Entangled and After The Ordeal. It was wonderful to have the audience listen so carefully. With performances from The Beggs Sisters with Nick Beggs , Tim Bowness and Noel McCalla Music , it was an absolutely magical weekend! Thanks so much to everyone who came along. Special thanks to Brian Coombes, Michael Clifford and all at Trading Boundaries for their hard work in putting on this wonderful event!
